The Honeypot Children’s CharityThe Honeypot Children’s Charity is the national young carers’ charity. It is the only charity in the UK that provides continuous support for young carers groups (aged 5-12). Their countryside respite breaks, and range of support services give young carers, with responsibilities beyond their years, the chance to be a child again.

Project LuangwaProject Luangwa is a charity empowering communities through the benefits of tourism. The charity helps the local community in South Luangwa improve their economic prospects through developing schools and supporting children through education. The charity is predominantly funded by some of the local safari lodges. With the onset of Covid-19, and the resultant impact to tourism, the charity is working hard to continue running its critical programmes in these uncertain times.

St Giles Hospice St Giles Hospice support people in Lichfield and Sutton Coldfield community whose illnesses may not be curable such as cancer, motor neurone disease, heart failure, MS and respiratory disease. They also offer support for families and helpers. The dedicated team provides individually-tailored care either at the hospice or in patients’ own homes across our communities. Although St Giles receives some funding from the Government, they rely heavily on donations and fundraising.

Samaritans of Windsor, Slough, and Maidenhead The Samaritans’ mission is to enable persons in Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead as well as elsewhere who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those who may be at risk of suicide, to receive confidential emotional support at any time of the day or night in order to improve their emotional health and to reduce the incidence of suicide. To promote a better understanding in society of suicide, suicidal behaviour and the value of expressing feelings which may otherwise lead to suicide.
